National Cadet Corps

 

The National Cadet Corps was formed in India with the National Cadet Corps Act of 1948, with the purpose of recruit regular students as cadets for basic military training in small arms and parades during their study, from high schools, colleges and Universities all over India on voluntary basis. Once they complete their NCC training, they are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements in the active military service, various other services and also in admission of the higher education. NCC in chaman Lal Mahavidhyalaya Landhora Roorke Haridwar has its own boys and girls NCC wing which was established on August 2018. The NCC wing of this college is attached to the 84 UK BN NCC. The cadets of the college are well-trained by the PI staff provided from 84 BN NCC and senior cadets in the campus itself .The wing of the college conduct a parade on Republic Day and Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm describing the NCC motto i.e. Unity and Discipline. Along with the physical training, the cadets are also trained how to behave ethically following the rules and regulations of the college in and around the campus. In chaman Lal Mahavidyalaya Landhaura Roorkee Haridwar there are 68 vacancies in Army Wing. Lt. (Dr.) Aprana Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of English, is the Associate NCC Officer(ANO) in Army Wing of this college
